  • Off to a great start

Just started the program two days ago. I’ve committed 31 weeks for 91 pounds so far I’ve seen 3 pounds off but it’s not about the weight it’s more about a lifestyle change. Total professionalism from the initial contact to the Charlotte team. Can’t wait to see the transformation.

  • The inspiration I needed

Congratulations on all your success, and thank you so much for doing the podcast. My hope is it would come out as a daily. A little daily reminder/ inspiration can go along way in one’s effort. On a side note, let your husband know the surgery he did for me on my ankle five years ago in Durango has given me new life. Now I need your (daily?) inspiration to get my gut in check. Have a blessed life Ashley, you deserve it!

115. Why Diets Fail: The Trauma Weight Connection
Q: How do eating habits relate to emotional and behavioral patterns associated with trauma?
When people eat to soothe discomfort, they may unconsciously associate food with comfort and relief, often choosing high-sugar or comfort foods that activate dopamine and adrenaline, helping them avoid uncomfortable feelings.
115. Why Diets Fail: The Trauma Weight Connection
Q: What would be some markers that might gauge our progress in overcoming trauma related to weight?
Progress can be gauged not just by physical markers but also by emotional well-being and how a person feels in the world. The emotional progress directly correlates with biological progress.
115. Why Diets Fail: The Trauma Weight Connection
Q: How can unresolved trauma actually interfere with the body's ability to drop weight and keep it off?
Unresolved trauma can interfere with weight loss by keeping the nervous system in a survival mode, which drives unhealthy eating habits and metabolic issues.
96. Leading Carnivore Diet Expert: “Veganism Is Making Us WEAKER On Purpose
Q: How do we address the cost of eating good, high-quality proteins?
A return to local food systems where individuals produce their own food could make quality nutrition more accessible, despite potential higher costs.
96. Leading Carnivore Diet Expert: “Veganism Is Making Us WEAKER On Purpose
Q: What do you think about veganism and how it impacts our health?
Veganism is radically maladaptive and can lead to malnourishment, especially in children raised on such diets.
