  • Informative and inspiring podcast

Dr. Tea’s podcast is a truly motivational as well as insightful resource for those who want to learn about direct care. She really make you feel empowered to want to start my own direct care practice. A lot of what she shared resonates with me because they are what how I have felt for so long too. The fear of taking risks and stepping into unknown and less popular pathway always linger in my head, but my gut and heart always want me to take the chance and be my own boss! • Blazing a trail with honesty and generosity

Dr. Nguyen makes a generous and important contribution to the inevitable and hopeful pendulum swing from near complete control of the “healthcare” industry by increasingly oligopolistic hospital, insurance, and pharmaceutical companies to back to control by patients and their physicians.

Direct care (both primary and specialty) is a huge wave that is getting clearer by the day — don’t miss it!

  • High Yield Facts

Tea provides a roadmap for practice startup. I have been investigating this myself for a while, and I find this to be very helpful as it is hard to find useful information of this sort in the foot and ankle specialty. Look forward to the next podcast.😍

Adding a Spa to Your Clinic with Dr. Sarah Neitzel
Q: What are the essential legal and organizational steps to set this up?
Form an LLC to isolate liability, obtain the necessary licenses, set up clear inter-company agreements, and decide on payroll and contracting structures for spa technicians to ensure compliance and financial clarity.
Adding a Spa to Your Clinic with Dr. Sarah Neitzel
Q: Where should doctors start when considering adding a spa to their practice?
Begin with market research in your area to understand demand, competition, and space feasibility, then design a plan that differentiates your offering and aligns with regulatory requirements and a scalable setup.
ACES National Surgical Team with Dr. Ronen Elefant
Q: How do patients learn about and access direct surgical care through ACES?
Patients typically come through direct primary care physicians or employers who self-fund; patients can travel to established hubs like Oklahoma City or join networks in Wisconsin, South Carolina, Connecticut, or Florida as the model expands.
ACES National Surgical Team with Dr. Ronen Elefant
Q: What is the model for you as a surgeon who travels to different facilities and states?
I operate at multiple facilities across states, utilizing a mobile software solution and a network of surgeons who travel to where demand exists, avoiding the overhead of a fixed ASC while maintaining quality and direct physician-patient relationships.
ACES National Surgical Team with Dr. Ronen Elefant
Q: So why don't you take us back in time to where you decided direct care was the path for you and what you created?
I moved away from insurance-based medicine after seeing its drawbacks during residency and training, educating myself on health-care economics and the flaws of Obamacare, which led to designing a system that bundles cash prices and connects patients directly with surgeons.
