  • Informative and inspiring podcast

Dr. Tea’s podcast is a truly motivational as well as insightful resource for those who want to learn about direct care. She really make you feel empowered to want to start my own direct care practice. A lot of what she shared resonates with me because they are what how I have felt for so long too. The fear of taking risks and stepping into unknown and less popular pathway always linger in my head, but my gut and heart always want me to take the chance and be my own boss! • Blazing a trail with honesty and generosity

Dr. Nguyen makes a generous and important contribution to the inevitable and hopeful pendulum swing from near complete control of the “healthcare” industry by increasingly oligopolistic hospital, insurance, and pharmaceutical companies to back to control by patients and their physicians.

Direct care (both primary and specialty) is a huge wave that is getting clearer by the day — don’t miss it!

  • High Yield Facts

Tea provides a roadmap for practice startup. I have been investigating this myself for a while, and I find this to be very helpful as it is hard to find useful information of this sort in the foot and ankle specialty. Look forward to the next podcast.😍

Hitchcock Direct Imaging with Dr. Matthew Hitchcock
Q: What do you think doctors don't know about what you're offering?
One, that it exists. I have actually been going around to doctor's offices with our price sheet and really talk to the physicians.
Hitchcock Direct Imaging with Dr. Matthew Hitchcock
Q: I wanted to ask you just that. What was the regulatory hurdles that's required to have the CT imaging center?
We had to go to several committee hearings, the kind of board hearings in Nashville, the state capital, to kind of prove that there was a need here.
Hitchcock Direct Imaging with Dr. Matthew Hitchcock
Q: How did you get it going to get people to have the buy-in to want to do this? It's a membership, right?
At first it was hard, especially when no one had ever heard of this. We were the first direct primary care practice in Tennessee.
Your Q's my A's
Q: What are the most important products or instrumentation needed for a new direct care podiatry practice?
You primarily need an autoclave and essential consultation supplies, focusing on minimal investment initially.

Q: What does your life look like right now?
I've tried to limit myself to only three days a week of patient contact.
