I feel like the passion and knowledge was there and as much as I wanted to learn & come along this journey (tried listening to the witch hunting episode) I just couldn’t bc of the tonality, diction, and honestly personality, or lack there of. It felt like a bad lecture hall and I was just waiting for the lame quiz to come after. Maybe some pe... more
The psychology of cults is fascinating and this podcast gives a comprehensive look at the many cults out there. It’s interesting to hear survivors experiences but the host needs to listen more and talk less. People are relaying their trauma and need to be listened to, not interrupted.

I love a cult podcast, and I think the interviews are very interesting. But the number of times I’ve been jump scared by randomly inserted deafening ads makes this show hard to listen to.
Great podcast about cults with many interesting interviews and well done. Thank you for your hard work!
I’ve never been more proud of anything I’ve done in my life. Thank you for having me on your podcast. Thank you for this channel for survivors of CEDU to slowly wake up and find each other. #iseeyousurvivor #iseeyouCEDUsurvivors

Episodes frequently explore topics like coercive control, trauma recovery, and the ethics of true crime storytelling, often weaving together survivor narratives with academic perspectives and investigative context. The show stands out for its compassionate interviewing style, deep-dive research, and willingness to tackle uncomfortable historical and social issues, including religious sects, MLMs, and high-control groups. It may be especially compelling for listeners who want nuanced discussions that balance survivor voices with scholarly insight, though some listeners note room for tighter editing and more... more
