  • My favorite new podcast

With only 10 episodes at the time of this writing.. I’m absolutely hooked and looking forward to the next. Great conversations with interesting people and topics, that flow naturally, as if I’m sitting and listening to friends talk over a coffee. Sometimes I know of the guest and sometimes I don’t, but I’ve learned it doesn’t matter as i’m always learning something new. After the podcast, I find myself looking for more information about the topics and people involved. Well done Mr. House, looki... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Stuart Gray (Stu Spasm) - EP106 - The Creative Asylum
Q: How you gravitated towards sort of a different medium [for your sculptures]?
I work a lot on commissions. So someone's always like, 'Make me this person.'
Stuart Gray (Stu Spasm) - EP106 - The Creative Asylum
Q: What you primarily use when creating [3D sculptures]?
They're definitely simultaneous, you know? I mean, you can kind of make more money selling art than music most of the time.
Stuart Gray (Stu Spasm) - EP106 - The Creative Asylum
Q: How did you first start [doing art]? Was it kind of like music? It just was coming out of you, and you just started doing it?
I was just obsessed with it when I was young, and just raced home from school to play my guitar.
Nabil Ayers (Author, Podcast Host) - EP108 - The Creative Asylum
Q: Did you reach out to your father while writing the book?
I didn't, as I didn't want his perspectives to influence my narrative or emotional journey.
Nabil Ayers (Author, Podcast Host) - EP108 - The Creative Asylum
Q: Was writing your book about healing or understanding your past?
It was both; writing forced me to confront emotions I had shied away from all my life.
