  • Stav is washed

Stav is washed. Was a good second mic as a ‘yes and’ guy & laugh track on CT. Stavvy’s World rebrand was entertaining for a year or 2. Ran out of good storytelling for years now. Fans & guests are providing all the content and Stav’s takes are so preachy and filled with virtue signaling. It’s pathetic that Adam’s pod is more relevant in 2026

  • Background noise

I love the show and hate giving the latest episode with Dan Soder and Mike Mullen a bad review. But it sounded like someone was deepthroating double bubble in the background. I don’t know if it was chewing or what but I had to turn it off.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

#178 - Mark Normand
Q: What was the turning point that helped you feel you could make a living in comedy?
Mark describes early opportunities and the momentum from big shows, plus the realization that consistency and networking with other comics, like opening for big acts, could lead to financial viability and future work.
#176 - Zach Cherry
Q: What advice would you give to someone dealing with insecurity about their partner dating a famous person?
Acknowledge the insecurity, discuss it openly with your partner, and seek reassurance while recognizing that fame brings unique pressures; focus on the relationship you have and its current value, rather than trying to compare past partners.
Bonus #166 - McDade's Maniacs Vol. 11 w/ Shawn Murray [PATREON PREVIEW]
Q: What should the caller do about the alleged abuse years after it happened?
The hosts propose reporting to a supervisor or appropriate authorities, while cautioning about evidence challenges and suggesting ways to manage paperwork and bureaucracy to avoid making the caller responsible for the abuser's consequences.
#171 - Ms. Pat
Q: What should I do if my partner's ex is still in their life in a way that makes me uncomfortable?
Set boundaries with the partner, discuss limits on one-on-one time, and consider whether the relationship is workable given the feelings involved.
#171 - Ms. Pat
Q: How should I handle my partner dating other people in a poly relationship when I'm not into it?
The panel suggests clear boundaries, honest communication, and possibly ending the relationship if the open arrangement creates ongoing distress.
