I’m so far behind on comedians and I guess I can blame that for living in Nebraska for the past fifteen years (Dan will have a laugh about that) but I’m so glad I’ve found Dan Soder and his podcast. Crazy thing is that I grew up pretty much in the same area as Dan (moved to Aurora when I was 2, went to both APS and Cherry Creek schools until moving to Castle Rock when I was 13), so I can relate to a lot of his Aurora/Denver stories. Thanks for the laughs and keep up the good work!
The best there is. Can listen to him talk to anyone. Boundless energy and fun. Thanks for the laughs Dan.
Dan’s always saying he doesn’t want to do a podcast about standup but I really enjoy the shop talk. Have I ever done an open mic? No. I’m a coward and a delicate flower. But I love hearing Dan and his guests talk about it! Also, his interrupting has gotten better and it’s clear he’s trying and I, an internet stranger, see it and praise it. Great stuff, Dan!
I’m convinced Dan can’t stop interrupting! Had to unsubscribe. It’s insufferable when a guest can’t finish one sentence. No matter the podcast he just can’t stop talking for 3 seconds. It’s just so tiring trying to get through this podcast. The nonstop interrupting is INSUFFERABLE!!!! Let your guest finish a sentence!!!!! Dan has a 1 hour run on sentence every episode!
Always a good time listening to soder. Love the old stories and I really like hearing about stand up. Gives me an insight as to all the work that gets put in. Also good job letting the guests speak. Not an issue with me just always gets mentioned

The show leans into long-form, conversational interviews with comedians and entertainers, centering on craft, career evolution, and the realities of touring, media, and culture. Episodes frequently blend personal stories, industry observations, and off-the-cuff banter about everything from writing jokes and stage life to pop culture, current events, and the business side of being a performer. A standout feel is the candid, unfiltered humor and the mix of veteran comics and rising talents, along with occasional crossovers into music, wrestling, and provocative comedy. Listeners can expect relaxed pacing, sharp banter, and guest-driven conversations that often veer into philosophy, memory, and identity through a comedic lens.
