  • Great info

I have done a bit of research on grounding in the past but there is so much false info out there, it’s hard to know what to believe. This podcast clears up much of the misinformation and points people to trustworthy websites to conduct their own research. It also gives folks the tools to get on the road to grounding effectively.

When Traditional Therapy Isn’t Enough: A Journey into Intuitive Healing- Dr. Jennifer Williams
Q: What do you think created the breakthrough for clients that traditional therapy didn't reach?
Dr. Williams emphasizes therapeutic presence, regulatory mechanisms in the nervous system, and the alignment of the clinician's and client's states, which allow for quicker openness and deeper recovery beyond conventional modalities.
Move Like a Baby, Heal Like a Pro - Dr. Michael Rintala
Q: What would you do on the first visit to begin addressing a pattern like a low back issue when there's already scar tissue or severe restrictions?
Focus on improving diaphragmatic breathing and activation patterns, address soft tissue and joint mobility, and gradually reintroduce stabilization movements that retrain CNS-driven patterns.
Move Like a Baby, Heal Like a Pro - Dr. Michael Rintala
Q: If a patient comes in with a traumatic injury or repetitive microtrauma, how do you approach uncovering the underlying cause?
Start with calming down the inflammation, then assess soft tissue and joint function, and finally identify the movement strategy or stabilization pattern that will restore efficient coordination and unload the spine.
Are You Paying Attention? - HRV Is the Future of Health Tracking- Dr. David Hopper
Q: What exactly is HRV and how is it measured in wearables?
HRV is the variation in time between heartbeats, measured as the distance between successive R-R intervals. Wearables like Oura and Whoop often compute RMSSD, while Apple Watch uses SDNN; readings differ by device, but the principle is to capture autonomic nervous system balance and vagal tone, preferably with morning three-minute measurements for accuracy.
Sugar, Supplements, and Sh*t You Should Know About Your Gut- Dr. Robert Silverman
Q: What is one practical change a listener can make to start improving gut health?
Adopt the GPS approach—focus on removing gluten, ultra-processed foods, and added sugars to reduce inflammatory triggers and support a healthier gut environment.
