  • Unprofessional

I only listened to one episode on college admissions predictions. As the lady host was explaining the financial aid process, the two male hosts were giggling away on their own private joke on air. Not only is this unprofessional, it is also disrespectful to the lady host. Do these guys run a college consulting business? If so, please stay away from them. There are more professional al coaches out there.

  • Not worth the time …

I have found this podcast to be not helpful at all. It feels more like a commercial for the hosts’ college prep services.one of the episodes I listened to was about essay writing … they offered absolutely nothing of substance.

5 College Planning Tips Parents Wish They Knew Earlier
Q: How do you go about negotiating that?
Provide other offers in writing, adopt a respectful tone, and present yourself as a top choice while explaining the family's financial considerations; wait to have all offers before negotiating to maximize leverage.
5 Secrets Colleges Won’t Tell You About Early Decision
Q: Why is early decision not great for leverage in negotiating financial aid offers?
Because accepting an ED spot often ends the ability to receive comprehensive financial-aid packages from other schools at the same time, limiting the family's bargaining power and the student's ability to compare true costs.
5 Secrets Colleges Won’t Tell You About Early Decision
Q: Can you talk about why high school counselors might get angry if a student backs out of early decision and whether their concerns are valid?
Counselors sometimes react strongly because ED commitments put schools and counselors on the line; however, the ethical reality is that ED is not automatically binding if the family has pursued financial-aid forms, and counselors may not always be aligned with a student's best interests or financial realities.
Didn’t Get Into Your ED School? Here’s What to Do
Q: How generous is Pitt with aid and how negotiable are they?
Pitt tends to be generous with merit aid but less so with need-based aid for out-of-state students, and it's not usually a top target for negotiation compared to other schools.

Q: When do you recommend taking the SAT or ACT if my child is taking Algebra 2 Trig as a freshman?
