Enjoyable, refreshingly without notions, and not too long, as some podcasts can be. A touch too much of constant laughter and hilarity….
The Cinemile is a delight and I love the format of walking home from the cinema. It’s the perfect length, there’s depth, and charm.
I am a big movie buff but had to stop listening to some movie podcasts because when they would pan something I liked it was ruining movies for me. Not the case with The Cinemile! I usually agree with the hosts, but even if I don’t, the way they discuss the movies is positive and fun. The genuine enthusiasm going into and coming out of the movies is so heartwarming.
My favourite thing about the big screen experience is the excitement and chatter with friends afterwards as everyone comes tumbling out the theatre. This is what Dave and Cathy’s podcast is like. A really down to earth and genuine take on films like catching up with good pals. Captures that magical moment right after a film and I love it.
After discovering this podcast when they were on another favorite pod, I started listening to any podcast of theirs for movies I'd seen. These two are truly delightful, don't take themselves too seriously, and they are two people I would love to walk to the cinema with. Definitely recommend for any movie-goer!

A warm, exploratory critique of recent film and TV offerings delivered by a married couple as they walk home from the cinema. The show blends spoiler-aware analysis with personal anecdotes, enthusiastic banter, and a thoughtful look at filmmaking craft, industry context, and audience reception. Across episodes, conversations span mainstream blockbusters, indie films, and streaming series, with frequent notes on acting, direction, pacing, and the emotional resonance of endings. A notable strength is the duo's candid chemistry—playful bickering, genuine enthusiasm, and a welcoming vibe that makes listeners feel like they're walking alongside friends who love cinema. The format often includes spoiler segments, listener/community moments, and p... more
