  • Still listening and appreciating

Started because I’d heard of Michael Wear back in the day and stayed because Justin challenges me. So glad Chris B is back!

  • More biased than I thought

I identify as a Christian with a more progressive theology and political leaning. I originally listened to this podcast to get a balanced view of politics from a Christian perspective. However, as time has gone on, I hear more harsh critique of the left than the right. Furthermore, critique of the right tends to be hidden behind their paywall on Patreon. Why is “Can Christians Be Democrats” for free, but “Can Christians Be Republican” behind a paywall?

  • So glad God lead me here!

As an evangelical female who is white and for the past year sickened by the “religious right” and their greed, dehumanizing of people and just plain lack of honor, I needed to find you all! May God bless you and strengthen your voice in the public square!!! I was really thinking people are not watching or reading the same news as me. May you continue to glorify Jesus with your lives and may He be glorified in all Christians as we show His love, justice and mercy. Thanks so much Justin!!!!

  • Christian without scripture?

I like this podcast. Finally a viewpoint that holds both sides accountable. However, I just heard you tell the audience to plug their ears if they don't like when you read scripture. What? How can you claim to be a Christian podcast and say that? And why are you catering to those people? That sounds like fear of people over fear of God. Really disappointed to hear you say that.

  • Refreshing

I really appreciate and enjoy how this show looks at everything from all perspectives. There’s no finger pointing or yelling, it’s just honest discussions looking at it from every possibility as well as keeping it real and factual rather than biased from your emotions.

The Vanishing Black Family w/ Delano Squires
Q: What led you to write The Vanishing Black Family and what are the key factors you identify as driving changes in marriage and family?
Delano outlines the interplay of welfare state expansion and the second-wave feminist movement as major shocks that redefined gender roles and family structures, arguing that these forces contributed to the decline in two-parent households among Black Americans.
The Vanishing Black Family w/ Delano Squires
Q: But talk to me just about the past. I don't know if you've changed the way that you approach it or what, but I do want to talk about that elephant in the room so people can understand when you came to this point.
Delano explains that disagreement is not rooted in animus, and frames his perspective as a long-running shift in how he approaches politics and marriage, emphasizing experiential and research-based insights rather than populist narratives.
A Conspiracy Theory Comes True and Magic City
Q: What are your thoughts on the partnership between the Atlanta Hawks and Magic City?
It's a terrible idea because it glamorizes a space closely tied to exploitation, trafficking, and harmful culture, and it risks normalizing something incompatible with Christian moral witness, despite potential edgy appeal or local culture momentum.
Race, Fraud & A Senate Race
Q: How do you feel about the scale of the fraud scheme in Minnesota?
The sheer amount of money involved is shocking, and it raises serious questions about oversight and accountability.
Race, Fraud & A Senate Race
Q: What do you think about the election implications with Jasmine Crockett entering the race?
Crockett could shake things up due to her strong support and ability to connect with voters, especially in a chaotic political climate.
