I welcomed Wuhan-based Andrew Shaw onto the CHP to talk about his book. It's all about the plundering of China's cultural treasures and imperial artifacts by not just the British, French, and Americans. It seems everyone got in on the act. Even the l... more

I am a TCM practitioner. I have benefitted listening to the history of TCM by Laszlo. The content of interpretation might be a bit too simplistic, but overall it is very informative for those who might or might not be a TCM practitioner, which a subtle humour which I like.

I’ll admit, at first I was a bit put off by Lazlo’s… how should I put it? “Chicago swagger”? But after a bit I’m all in. His knowledge and experience is unmatched for an American audience. Every episode is well researched and presented by someone that clearly has both great knowledge and great love for the subject of Chinese history. I can not recommend this podcast ... more
