  • Sometimes frustrating

Just spent an hour listening to the feb 27 episode on trauma - and i cant believe they spent like 45 mins just complaining about other influencers and the misinformation they spread - instead of directly providing valuable content. Sounded more like a self referential (oh we re so good because we re not like them) and therapy session rather than any value addition. Feels like a disrespect to the listener s time. Why not focus on adding quality content to the conversation rather than complaining ... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Ticks, Lyme, and What the Standard Advice Gets Wrong | Evelyn Green
Q: What should you look for after a tick bite and how should you approach treatment?
Listeners are advised to monitor for any rash (including non-central clearing rashes), watch for rashes, fever, or neurological symptoms, and to seek evaluation; established patients may be offered a tiered approach from topical/herbal options to antibiotics if needed, with shared decision-making and consideration of the patient's anxiety and quality of life.
The Post-2021 Autoimmune Surge Nobody Wants to Talk About | Dr. Leland Stillman
Q: But what are some of the biggest needle movers that you see with people who have autoimmune conditions that are simple to implement?
Dr. Stillman emphasizes a structured, holistic approach starting with mindset and daily essentials. The most impactful steps include bright light exposure in the morning, a consistent meal plan, regular physical activity such as walking, proper hydration, and managing light exposure before bed, all aligned with circadian biology to improve energy, sleep, and cognitive function.
Why Perimenopause Is Taking Over and How to Use It to Transform Your Midlife | Jamie Glowacki
Q: Where should we start when discussing aging and perimenopause for listeners?
We should start with the awareness that perimenopause reflects overall health, then focus on practical steps like strength training, circadian alignment, and nutrient-dense diets to support hormonal balance.
The Gap Between Research Papers and Real Healing, Gut Health Mysteries and more | Grant Fowler
Q: Why is it important to look at gut health as part of a larger system rather than a single intervention?
Because the gut influences immune function, drug responses, and overall energy; improving gut health creates a foundation that enhances the effectiveness of therapies and supports better outcomes across multiple domains.
Carbs, Cortisol & Confusion - Registered Dietitian - Isaac Pohlman Breaks it down!
Q: What is your perspective on the A1C and its implications?
The A1C may not accurately reflect overall health if one is reliant on a strict low-carb diet that may not support other aspects of health.
