The BHP is a chronological retelling of the history of Britain with a particular focus upon the lives of the people. You won’t find a dry recounting of dates and battles here, but instead you’ll learn about who these people were and how their desires, fears, and flaws shaped the scope of this island at the edge of the world. And some of those desires are downright scandalous.

Ive not even finished the first season and it’s already juicy although please keep it family friendly please stop swearing
Pretty detailed, BUT sometimes way too much. Exessive amount of speculation and moralizing. BUT.., like how he analyzes and criticises primary sources
I’ve listened through every main episode three times so far, and the members only episodes a couple of times. I can’t recommend this podcast highly enough! Is it too soon to start a 4th time around?
Extremely in depth history of Britain. No commercials which is great. Easy to listen to (outside of all the kings names in the dark ages sounding the same).
