In this episode of The Bitch Is Back, I watch "Passion," Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season 2, Episode 17, for the first time. I knew Jenny Calendar dies in this one, but I didn't know how, and it left me stunned. I break down the olive branch scene bet... more
I threw out the playbook this week. No 20-page document, no teleprompter, no prep. For the first time ever, I'm watching an episode in real time with you, and of course it's Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered, the Valentine's Day love spell disaster.... more
I turned another year older in Manchester, surrounded by my Buffy family and a sea of fans. So this week is a full show and tell the cards that made me cry a little (Meg and her mom Catherine, I'm looking at you), the homemade ones that got me the mo... more
This week I'm first-watching Buffy Season 2, Episode 15, "Phases," the one where Oz finds out he's a werewolf, Larry finds out it's easier to just be honest, and everyone learns that hiding who you are is a full-time job. But you know where my head r... more

I really want to like this, but Charisma’s disdain for the current administration constantly bleeds into her commentary. We get it. You hate Trump. Let it go.
Edit: I finally gave up. This podcast should be called I Hate Trump and Anyone Who Voted for Him. She can’t get through one podcast without complaining about her hate for Trump or for anyone who doesn’t think like her. Literally the last podcast was on only 10 minutes when she went on one of her rants.
Another edit: I feel so special t... more
Loving Charisma’s podcast , two words = the best
I wanted to love this show because I was a huge BTVS and Angel fan. But this show gets more confusing with each episode. The most recent one was 6 minutes with no intro! I didn’t realize until I read other reviews that it’s because she is almost exclusively on Patreon. Unsubscribing.
Okay so I’m sorry to delve into politics here but I needed to write this review specifically as a response to Csebesta84. If you watched Buffy and you think ANY of the characters would be MAGA you are sorely mistaken. (Well, maybe the Mayor. For sure Snyder. I’m on the fence with Xander.) In that vein if you’re offended that Carpenter calls out the modern atrocities as she sees them…then perhaps you should find a show about a conservative woman that takes on human and supernatural forms of the p... more

A candid, opinionated rewatch format led by a Buffy alumna, blending first-watch style commentary with behind-the-scenes anecdotes and personal reflections. Episodes often balance episode-by-episode analysis (themes like gender norms, empowerment, and representation) with broader discussions about fandom, media, and the industry, occasionally weaving in current events and paywall dynamics. Noteworthy is how the host leverages her on-screen history to offer intimate, unapologetic takes and a creator-led community feel, including content moving between paid and free platforms. This mix makes it appealing for longtime fans who want a confident, personal voice that connects pop culture with real-world insights—and for potential guests and spons... more
