Using literal manifestations of fears, this episode allows us to explore core themes of responsibility, trauma, and identity. By making personal fears a reality for each character, the episode forces the Scoobies and Giles to confront their inner dem... more
This week’s podcast episode covers one of my favorites from Season 1: Puppet Show. This podcast ep is 1.5 hours long - GULP. Why so long, you ask? Because Armin Shimerman, a.k.a. Principal Snyder, one of the most beloved recurring stars and Buffy vil... more
We all know online dating is a literal nightmare. Evil exists today just as it did in 1997. Shockingly, this episode was written ONLY two years into the online dating phenomenon that has since taken over the world.

I really want to like this, but Charisma’s disdain for the current administration constantly bleeds into her commentary. We get it. You hate Trump. Let it go.
Edit: I finally gave up. This podcast should be called I Hate Trump and Anyone Who Voted for Him. She can’t get through one podcast without complaining about her hate for Trump or for anyone who doesn’t think like her. Literally the last podcast was on only 10 minutes when she went on one of her rants.
This series is early on and I’m so excited to keep listening because it’s both very fun and cathartic to hear Charisma’s takes on things, but also explain background that even super fans wouldn’t know. I find this a very honest response to rewatch and reaction from a main cast member and if you’re a basic BtVS fan, you’d listen as a prerequisite: but all peripheral woman hero types relish this specific rewatch.
Intelligent, funny, witty, raw… what does this podcast not have?
Maybe it’s a bit presumptuous to have expectations regarding a stranger’s podcast, but I’m so pleasantly surprised at how much I’ve been enjoying the episodes. Charisma has a really good balance of talking about the episodes themselves and the real world parallels. She has great insights, depth, and interpretations. I especially loved the episode on The Pack. The guest was the perfect addition to such an interesting discussion on the themes of the episode and current societal issues. Serious top... more
