  • Too annoying

I love the tv show but I can’t stand the podcast anymore. Between Hanna’s high pitched voice & laugh & the sound of Lamorne’s sticky dry mouth & trump impersonations It’s too hard to listen to without getting annoyed. Changed how I see them in the show & that really sucks.

  • Disappointed in Fasting/Weight Loss Talk

I love New Girl and used to love the pod, but unfortunately, with all the GLP-1 ads and Lamorne promoting fasting from food and water for days and Hannah normalizing that behavior as just “what all moms do,” I just can’t listen anymore. I find it very triggering to my personal struggles with disordered eating. It makes me think “oh look everyone else, including these people I look up to, doesn’t eat either. I should try doing that again” despite the very real, very negative consequences it has h... more

  • Focus

I’m having a really hard time listening to this pod lately. I’ve been sticking with it because I love New Girl and I love the people in the cast, but episodes lately have been seriously lacking focus and the hosts go off topic constantly. Especially in the latest episode, they get back on topic for 2 minutes and trail off for another 5. I had to keep skipping around to when they actually talk about the episode. I don’t want to abandon this show because I love the bts snippets we do get, but the ... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

605: Jaipur Aviv
Q: What makes Jaipur Aviv a pivotal episode for the group's dynamics?
It reframes the loft dynamics by moving the action out of the usual space, centers the debate on internal relationships (Nick and Reagan), and uses the house renovation as a catalyst for conversations about openness, compromise, and the couple's boundaries.
604: Homecoming
Q: Hi, Hannah and Lamorne. My boyfriend and I are obsessed with New Girl and even point out... I have a theory about Coach that I haven't seen anyone online talk about before. Could Coach be undercover as Stevie or Ernie in a Brooklyn Nine-Nine crossover?
The hosts explore fan theories about Coach's possible undercover identities, but acknowledge established character history and crossovers make some ideas unlikely or require careful storytelling; they lightly brainstorm the concept while noting continuity constraints.
601: House Hunt
Q: What inspired the season six shift toward grown-up, life-stage storytelling?
The hosts explain that season six was conceived to explore more mature, life-trajectory stories for the characters, branching away from earlier relationship-driven plots and aiming to reflect real-life transitions.
518: A Chill Day In
Q: What was your favorite scene to film across seven seasons?
The moment they all got up on stage and sang and danced with Prince was particularly memorable, feeling surreal and iconic.
518: A Chill Day In
Q: What characters did you originally audition for and why?
Lamorne says he originally auditioned for Coach because there was no Winston, and the series circumstances led to him playing Winston.
