I used to like this podcast. But now it’s just two people complaining about the current Bat-books. It all went downhill since Ian left. The analysis is almost none existent, they just focus on minor details to complain. They don’t care about Batman, just the idea of when they think it was great. No acknowledging of fans who might like the stuff. That Steph just keeps yawning half the time pretty much sums up their attitude toward the podcast. You don’t don’t have to do this if you don’t like it,... more
Hosts are boring, act like they have not been reading the books or just started reading comics.
Has the potential to be a great podcast. Sadly the two cohosts sound like they are suffering from batman related depression! As much as the main host tries to keep the energy up and see both the pros and cons of the books in question the other hosts are always moaning about everything from the art, story and more. It’s fine for a while but when it’s every show it becomes a real drag. With a bit more energy and a bit more pep in their step the show could be really good. Sadly it’s like listening ... more
Been listening to this since the New 52. Great hosts, information, opinions and camaraderie. Keep up the good work!
Recently got back into comics. I’ve been a big podcast fan since the damn things were a “thing” and I always need a high quality show to complement my interests. Searched high and low and have every batman podcast a chance. Settled with this one due to the fun hosts, friendly but detailed opinions / breakdowns and general enjoyment of the content. Thanks for providing such a high quality show. Keep up the good work. Peace and love from the UK.

A biweekly Bat-focused show that blends news, short-form title reactions, and in-depth discussions of ongoing Batman-related storylines. Episodes frequently mix quick takes on new releases with broader industry chatter, creator anecdotes, and occasional crossovers into related DC titles, often balancing energetic banter with detailed commentary. The format favors accessible, digestible briefs over long reviews, regularly highlighting both character dynamics and editorial decisions, with a strong sense of community and listener engagement through Patreon and network notes. A standout trait is the hosts' mix of enthusiasm, critical eye, and fandom-friendly humor, which can be especially appealing to long-time readers and new fans alike.
