I still enjoy the podcast from time to time but I feel like it has slowly pivoted into being about reality TV. I know other topics are covered too but I really miss when the focus was on women-centric celebrity memoirs.
As someone who has left and is deconstructing from a cult, I find some of the banter / conversation kind of glib. While the information and opinions in this podcast are interesting enough, they clearly don understand the actual fat teaching effects of the religious abuse and trauma.
Not only is the subject matter interesting, Chelsea, her guests and producers do a great job of challenging one another and injecting different viewpoints. I also really admire Chelsea for not shying away from feedback and keeping the podcast within an appropriate topical scope to allow everyone to enjoy it - yes, it’s feminist but doesn’t make the reductive assumption that all feminists align on everything else.
This is hands down my favorite podcast. Everyday I check to see if Chelsea has dropped a new podcast. Chelsea is funny and open to talk about anything. She is a caring soul, knows lots of people, and has a million friends. There is something about her voice I adore, and when she took a break to work on her movie, the podcast was not the same. This is just a fun podcast, I thoroughly enjoy it. Her Needy Quarantine dog looks just like mine. We are clearly kindred souls.

I didn’t watch the show, but there is something to it if it brought someone in the spotlight for many years to deeply reev... more
