Reviews

4.9 out of 5 stars from 1.3k ratings
  • Good content but the constant laughing and weird sounds…

Really enjoy the interesting content and makes corporate drama very fun to listen to, BUT Becca’s constant laughing at the male host’s *at best* mediocre jokes is annoying. Also as another reviewer mentioned, the weird sounds/voices they make can be quite cringey. If they can just fix these two things this would be a great podcast.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Sloppy CEOs: Giving, getting, and breaking the business
Q: Does bad behavior beget bad behavior, and should we consider a CEO's past when evaluating their future potential?
They discuss whether prior misconduct should disqualify a leader or whether it can be offset by performance, arguing that governance, accountability, and cost of misconduct (legal, reputational, financial) should influence future opportunities and compensation.
Sloppy CEOs: Giving, getting, and breaking the business
Q: Assuming that the affair between Jeff Shell and Hadley Gamble was consensual, does an affair in itself indicate bad judgment for a CEO?
The hosts suggest that while personal decisions matter, the broader concern is whether such behavior signals a pattern of judgment that could affect leadership and shareholder value, and whether governance should factor in personal conduct more explicitly.
Inside the busted brains of billionaires with Therapy Jeff!
Q: What kinds of cultural changes could prevent destructive wealth behaviors?
Mandated therapy and a formal billionaire accountability or parole-style program were suggested as possible solutions, along with keeping vulnerable connections from early life to stay grounded.
State of the show: Summer break, Adam's brilliant idea, good news for birds, MBAs, Amphetamines and more!
Q: Is it possible to work 10 plus hour days without any amphetamines?
Yes, many people work long hours without substances, especially if they enjoy what they do.
State of the show: Summer break, Adam's brilliant idea, good news for birds, MBAs, Amphetamines and more!
Q: If I pursue an MBA, will that set me up for a path of fraud and jail time?
No, pursuing an MBA can actually cultivate awareness and protect you from potential fraud.
