Always a blast to listen to As for football. Thank you again for a great season to Dan Head and the As For Football crew. I Loved the weekly show and articles, season recap and recap of the Bowl Win. The Army Football team's win over Mizzou in the Armed Forces Bowl was the highlight of my Bowl Season this year with the losses by Notre Dame, Cincy and Michigan (tired of SEC Teams in CFP). Army Football winning their Bowl game is always the highlight of the Bowl season for me. Until next season, G... more
I’m an OLD grad (1977) and look forward to your podcast every week. I listen to it on my daily workout and it makes the time fly. We don’t get very much Army coverage out here in Hawai’i and your recap, analysis and predictions are alway spot on and always welcomed. Love your guests, most recently Jaxson Deaton. You are so right, we are in the 2d or 3d Golden Age of Army football. Glad to see Hawai’i players and coaches (Saturnio) have been making serious contributions recently. My Plebe year we... more
Love this Pod and ever since Jordan ranted on communism in the 2020 CIC Episode I can’t get enough. Outstanding🤘🏼
Excellent weekly work by this podcast getting you ready to watch the Army team. If you could imagine these things all in one, it would be half as good as this podcast:
- skipping a rob aud lecture.
- a Friday afternoon class drop
- watching Ken Niumatalolo’s confused face after a navy loss.
- the ketchup container shots at Fireside
- ESPN updates on the never ending quest of Keenan Reynolds to be relevant.
- laughing at corny CBS Sports commentators trying to hype up the weekly “Day in the life ... more
Week after week, great analysis of prior game and scouting report on upcoming opponent. You guys are spot on. If only the Army team could live up to the Fact or Fiction predictions.
PS Chet is clown. And beat ‘em all.

This show centers on in-depth, personality-driven analysis of Army football and West Point athletics, with frequent forays into lacrosse, other Patriot League and college football storylines, and game-day strategy. Hosts—seasoned former players and long-time cadet life observers—deliver game recaps, opponent scouting, and tactical takes, often weaving in sponsor reads and fan-driven questions. Noteworthy is the playful banter, strong Army bias, and a consistent emphasis on resilience, branding, and the broader sports ecosystem around cadet life, recruiting, and conference dynamics. The format works well for listeners who want opinionated breakdowns, behind-the-scenes perspectives, and practical bets or game-planning insights that feel groun... more
