  • Intentionally inflammatory

I used to be a huge fan of this podcast, but now they’re extremely divisive towards people who aren’t explicitly MAGA.

They officially lost me when they picked out a clip of someone explaining to Jillian Michaels why saying “obese” can be offensive. Rather than having a thoughtful conversation about a sensitive topic, they proceeded body positive practitioners. Then, say the exact same thing as the “body positivity movement” ie your body size doesn’t determine your health. I’m sick of the hypo... more

  • Thoughtful, practical, and actually useful

I appreciate how this episode brings real clarity to complex topics that are often oversimplified or misunderstood. The discussion around GLP-1 medications, peptides, thyroid health, and nutrient absorption felt balanced and grounded, not alarmist or one-sided.

What stood out most was the focus on asking better questions and understanding the “why” behind lab markers rather than just reacting to numbers. The connection between hormones, autoimmune conditions, and overall metabolic health was ex... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Peptides For Bone Loss, Golf Course Toxins & The PCOS Rebrand Conspiracy | Ask Me Anything
Q: What about PCOS/PMOS naming changes and GLP-1s? Is this a marketing move or a real health issue?
The name change reflects a broader understanding of metabolic and inflammatory underpinnings beyond ovaries. GLP-1s can be helpful when used judiciously and in the context of lifestyle, gut health, and metabolic management, not as a sole solution. Emphasis should be on a balanced, integrated approach rather than credentialing a single therapy.
Peptides For Bone Loss, Golf Course Toxins & The PCOS Rebrand Conspiracy | Ask Me Anything
Q: How should someone near a golf course manage exposure to chemicals and toxins affecting health, especially during pregnancy?
Focus on reducing exposure and strengthening resilience: use reverse osmosis and air filtration, limit outdoor time during peak spraying, and prioritize nutrient-dense foods and detox-supportive practices like liver detox pathways, gut health, and labs to monitor body burden if feasible.
Peptides For Bone Loss, Golf Course Toxins & The PCOS Rebrand Conspiracy | Ask Me Anything
Q: I am 35 and recently found osteopenia on DEXA; the doctor mentioned BBC 157. What's your take on BBC 157 for bone density?
BBC 157 is an experimental peptide with some animal data suggesting bone healing benefits, but human data are limited and not robust. We'd consider it as a tool within a broader, clinician-guided plan that prioritizes nutrient-dense protein intake, calcium cofactors (D3, K2, magnesium), and liver/gut health, with caution around purity and sourcing.
Your Breakouts Are Trying to Tell You Something: The Shocking Causes of Acne Your Dermatologist Is Missing | Sisley Fraser
Q: How do hormones affect acne during the menstrual cycle?
Hormones influence inflammation and sebum production; estrogen clearance during the luteal phase can impact acne. Supporting gut estrogen metabolism and liver function, along with balanced nutrition, can help manage premenstrual breakouts and hormonally driven acne.
Your Breakouts Are Trying to Tell You Something: The Shocking Causes of Acne Your Dermatologist Is Missing | Sisley Fraser
Q: What are the main drivers of acne beyond surface skincare?
The main drivers include gut health and microbiome balance, liver and hormonal interactions, toxin exposure that loads the body's detox pathways, and chronic inflammation. These factors interact over years to tip someone into breakouts, so addressing acne requires a holistic inside-out approach rather than only treating the skin.
