What is the Art Life? The inquisitive, insightful, funny and dedicated podcast that challenges us to see the art in our daily lives. Grace and Xandra skillfully guides us on a journey of the artist, both within and around, and after listening to their embracing curiosity, you cannot help but take the journey and accept the challenge. The art life is many things in my opinion. It’s an amazing entanglement of passion, love, critical thinking and of course, art.

We can all create art without being “artists”. Cooking a great meal for your family is art. Decorating your house is art. Reading a book is art (which creates thoughts and pictures in your mind while you read). And of course doodling, drawing, painting or sculpting something out of Play-Doh or even Legos is art.

Listening to these two banter about the Art Life brings me absolute delight. This is not just for “professional” artists, although both hosts are that, but for anyone seeking to reconnect with creativity in their soul.

This podcast covers a variety of topics, and always brings them back to how we are all artists! I love that this podcast sets a scene and makes me feel like I’m sitting in the same place as the co-hosts! I look forward to catching up with Xandra and Grace each week as they offer an honest and intelligent discussion. I look forward to every other Friday when new episodes of The Art Life post. While I listen, I do daily chores I would otherwise rush through, distracted. The deliberately gentle pace of this podcast and the hosts' frequent reframing of thoughts to be forgiving to the self, calmer, more reflective and inclusive, have brought noticeably greater steadiness to my life. I have always wanted to get into podcasts but never really found a show that stuck with me. From the moment I heard the art life I knew I found the creative podcast I dreamed of. This is such a lovely show with great inspiration and connections. I highly recommend giving this a try!

When I listen to this show I realize that everyone can be an artist. You don’t have to be paid for your art to be considered an artist. Even when I proudly present food on a plate with garnish it feel like a piece of art. When I scrapbook or just decorate with washy tape I am an artist, too. Every day you experience the art life. You might not realize it yet!

Such a delight. I enjoy this podcast so much - Xandra and Grace are two beautiful, articulate souls who share so much heart-felt camaraderie in their podcasts. I love listening to this while making art at home - it gives me much to reflect on within my own craft and community.

It's amazing that almost every topic about modern art — from creation to "consumption" to living the life of an artist to what the heck even is art — is addressed by Grace and Xandra in the most reassuring of ways. Today's world is so hectic with all our technology, and I admire these two for thriving both on and offline. Every episode is great!

I listen to a LOT of podcasts. All of them, apart from one, center around discussing art and entertainment. I was starting to get a little burnt out by them, then THE ART LIFE came along.

Grace & Xandra bring a breath of fresh air to podcasts. First of all, their voices are like honey. Calm, loving and oozing poise, this is the most relaxing podcast I’ve ever listened to.

What a joy to listen to! So much here to inspire...coffeeshop, bookstore wanderings, climate change, Russian deli's, smelling things for fun, the not dividing into artist/non-artist, parfume making in Tuscany...Reminds that it is not an indulgence to focus on art - love it!

Grace and Xandra are a wonderful duo. Their style is conversational and casual, their voices engaging to listen to, and their key is discussing the arts in the most relaxing way possible. Art of Life will leave you creatively rejuvenated, motivated to do more, and feeling positive about the rest of your week!
