  • Wow! Wow!

Doug Bopst’s podcast appeared on my Apple podcast Algerism and it exceeds my expectations. I just listened to the interview with Sahil Bloom.

I had to stop cleaning, get my notebook out and follow along with the transcript. I’m often feeling down, in my 60’s, children grown , hopeless but there were so many inspiring ideas and reminders that my life is and can be amazing.

    Thank you so much.

Q: What is your advice for people that struggle to make time for themselves and become disciplined?
Discipline is essential for progress. Without it, there's no standard or plan to follow, which leaves you susceptible to distractions. It's important to have a set routine while also allowing room for spontaneity.
The #1 Way to Lose Fat Without Tanking Your Energy Levels | Dr. Thomas Levy
Q: How does somebody know that it's a nutrient issue and not a calorie issue, meaning they're not eating enough calories?
It's difficult to define, but chronic overeating can occur without noticeable weight gain; thus, one should consider nutrient levels over caloric intake as many people do not get enough essential nutrients, especially vitamin C and magnesium.

Q: What types of food should people eat together?
You should never mix protein with simple carbohydrates, as this delays digestion significantly and causes more time for food to rot rather than digest properly.

Q: Do you think it's possible to get enough vitamin C through diet alone when people are trying to lose weight?
No, you can't come even close to the amount of vitamin C you need in the most perfect diet imaginable because the body requires much more than what can be obtained from food alone.
