    I’ve been a huge fan of Adventure Journal since it was a blog and then a high quality print publication. If you love hiking, biking, surfing, skiing, camping, and more, this is definitely a podcast to follow.

  • Great magazine mediocre pod

    The journal is spectacular. The pod is the two main writers/editors re-hashing content from the journal. They are boring to listen to week in and week out. Get some guests. I can’t imagine how this is driving subscription traffic.

    My financial means don't allow me to subscribe to AJ, but holy smokes, luckily for me and others, this is a great podcast! Interesting and real topics, thought-provoking conversation that honors the ethical nuances of being outdoors enthusiasts (e.g. carbon footprints, "gatekeeping," etc.), fantastic interview with Alastair Humphreys, etc. I can't tell you how refreshing it is to hear two mature, reasonable, and passionate outdoors folks discuss such things in podcast form! I'm an East Bay nativ... more
