Arguably the world's finest TTRPG actual play podcast, with emphasis on the word "arguably". We play a large variety of tabletop roleplaying games - from the big names to small indie publishers. New episodes stumbling out on a weekly (ish) basis. Each episode usually 90 mins or less. Our Flameingo logo comes courtesy of the great Bradley K. What could be more horrifying than having our Halloween episode in February? Follow us into a murderous corn maze in rural Wisconsin and find out, as we take a stab at Wayward Studios' forthcoming "Horror Cinema Classics" TTRPG.
WARNING: This episode is unedited. Expect profanity, rambling off topic, wokeness, coughs, stammers, mistakes galore, and things that might be annoying or offensive some listeners (most likely both).

This is quite a fun actual play podcast that showcases a variety of systems. It’s the kind of actual play you might actually experience—by ordinary gamers, not improv comedians. They also keep the non-game banter to a minimum.

I’m a fan of both AD&D1e and DCC so I tried listening to the first episode of the steading of the hill giant chief. I couldn’t make through the first 10 minutes. Nothing is more unfunny than geeks who think they’re funny. That’s one of the main reasons I typically avoid real play podcasts. I prefer grim pulp swords and sorcery over legend of vox machina
I like actual plays that aren’t super polished, seem like actual plays that I might actually be able to participate in—that is not played by professional actors. I also like actual plays that try new systems. The Thankless Role Players deliver on all counts. Their GM rotation also adds to the variety. I think this podcast is a hidden gem amongst all the rest.
I was looking for an actual live play of dungeon, crawl, Classics, and found this one. The dungeon master is entertaining as well as the players. They are creative and fun and not disgusting lol.
I’ve enjoyed listening to a bunch of the episodes.
I would highly recommend this to anybody interested in learning the various systems.
