What a delight to stumble on this podcast from Ireland’s best-known seanchaí. Tales, piseógs and traditional customs of all sorts are narrated in Eddie Lenihan’s inimitable style. Molaím go mór é.
Eddie Lenihan needs his own tv show, or at least his own radio show. I could listen to him all day. He is a national treasure and I’ve just bought some of his books and cds so I can enjoy more of this amazing man’s stories. Simply no one like him. 10/10

I love listening to not only the information that Eddie has gathered together but his thoughts on how things have changed, on how we may look at things differently now than in the past, and so on. I also just love the way he talks. It isn’t like listening to an academic, someone removed from the material, but like listening to a neighbour who has much wisdom to impart.
