The aim of this weekly podcast is to make economics easy, uncomplicated and accessible. With the world at a political, technological and financial tipping point, economics has never been so important to all of us and yet, it’s made inaccessible and complicated by so many.

I’ve always thought what is complicated is rarely important and what is important is rarely complicated.

That will be our motto... more

  • Confident but clueless

The David McWilliams podcast started out as being useful for getting a basic understanding of the Irish and global economy. That is until he starts talking about politics, or most things beyond economics. In his most recent episode, the whole premise of the episode was that “centrism” is actually “radical” and vice versa, that we have the words mixed up, because he assumes that “centrism” means what the general population thinks, which is an embarrassing and shows his level of knowledge of polit... more

  • Strange format but decent

It’s strange to have one of the hosts say almost nothing. Different to anything else I listen to and maybe something they should think about. Really enjoy most shows but despite being a huge golf fan, I struggle to see what the purpose of the golf episode is.

  • Keep up the great work

I love the David McWilliams Podcast — it makes big economic and world issues easy to get, and it’s always funny and engaging. David has a knack for explaining things in plain English, and the banter with John keeps it light. I always come away having learned something new without feeling like I’ve sat through a lecture.
