A school I worked at used to have IEP signature “parties”. I worked in a very low income area and could never get parents to answer the phone, let alone come to an IEP meeting. So the EC dept head would ask the EC teachers to trade folders and sign where the parent signatures were supposed to be. They also asked my friend (a long-term sub) to sign off on dates from before she was hired (she wisely refused, noting that this is a FEDERAL DOCUMENT and her husband was in the military). Good times.
Thank you to Frazz and Redacted for making Teacher Quit Talk. Listening to smart people talk about terrible things and call out the gaslighting and stupid decision making has made me feel a little less insane.

As a fellow AP high school teacher, like Redacted, I know how tough teaching can be sometimes but this podcast provides humor, intelligent and fresh takes, and info on how to make teaching more manageable. Keep up the great work girls!
Great show! They are so funny and very informative. I’m from Canada so it’s cool to hear about the system over there (yall are going through it omg)
