One of the worst true crime podcasts I have ever listened to. I was interested in the Elizabeth Haysom story because of the Netflix series. BUT the laughter with these two takes you out of the story. For example, the hosts are speaking of Elizabeth being raped 6 times and on drugs and then turning herself into the consulate while traveling Europe. Bahahahahahaahah uncontrollable laughter. Hilarious to them. There are so many more examples of obnoxious laughter. Hint: that’s not funny!!! more
I stumbled on this Pod because they cover some cases that I’m interested in. Sameerah is pretty solidly entertaining as a storyteller and puts in her research. Her sidekick, however, is so off-putting that it makes the pod physically uncomfortable to listen to. She laughs and “mmm-hmmm”’s in the most random places, as though she’s only half paying attention, and her comments and side remarks come off as insensitive, insecure, and victim-blamey. more
Well researched and a fun listen. It would be much better if the gratuitous laughing was eliminated and sound quality was improved. But I’ll keep this one in my queue for a while.

I’ve tried to make it through one episode (David brown) & even skipping leaps & bounds trying to get through the endless irritating pointless small talk/ attempted jokes / banter. The sound quality... one sounds muffled the other sounds like they’re speaking through a tin can on a string in China. If you all want to ever be successful or even mildly tolerable take the advice given on these reviews, otherwise delete it until you can take it more seriously, just out of respect for the victims if n... more
