Matt’s interviews and regular pods are good, but his IMOs and ranting episodes have got to go. He is hurting himself more than helping and it makes him a very unlikable guy. Unhinged. We all have our own stuff to complain about and don’t need to hear a 40-yr old man whose biggest life mission is to run 2:15 (or is it 2:10? It keeps changing every episode) complain about his. Seek out a therapist and stop living out your entire life online. Take responsibility for your life and mistakes and move ... more
I used to really enjoy the training talks and running news highlights/commentary that Matt and company used to provide the podcast. Ever since he was arrested for mailing himself cannabis in Japan (dude what were you thinking???) this podcast has kind of flopped into a “woe is me”, redemption campaign. Now he’s bringing in his legal/personal issues? Not for me.
Consistently rambles about drugs and how they should be legal in attempt to try and justify him breaking the law. Consistently thinks people are against him when the bloke needs to take a good look at himself and why trouble seems to follow him
I listened to an episode looking for quality advice, but instead heard the host parroting conspiracy theories from Tucker Carlson, expressing weird grievances about other running podcasters and sharing his opinions not backed by any evidence. I don’t know why you’d listen to this when there are so many quality running podcasts available.
Will help you sleep so worth two stars for that
