  • Too political

I have been following this show from day one & always enjoyed, but lately all guests have same political side not debate and the story is unidirectional. On this reason I decided to unfollow the show.

This show continues to get better and better, the quality of the conversation this week was excellent.

I think you should select the end of show question for the guests to answer - we’re just ‘getting to know them’ and then you bring in a different correspondent to answer the question.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The AI revolt in Maga-land
Q: What did residents like Lisa Garrett reveal about the data-center project and transparency?
Lisa Garrett and others highlighted secrecy, rapid development, and the perceived lack of local consultation, illustrating why many residents fear the rush to deploy AI infrastructure without sufficient community involvement.
The AI revolt in Maga-land
Q: How did you decide to go to Independence, Missouri?
Marc, Joe explains he chose Independence to gauge sentiment among Republicans and mixed voters in Trump country, especially given Missouri's political mix and the high-profile debates over AI regulation and data-center projects.
Trump’s ‘war of whim’ in Iran
Q: Ed, what do you make of all of that mixed messaging? What does that tell you about how prepared or unprepared the administration was here and what their aims are?
The aims are not clearly pinned down; early talk ranged from regime change to degrading Iran's capabilities, but the messaging has shifted and lacks a single, coherent objective, reflecting a capricious decision-making style.
Trump’s starring role in the Warner Bros fight
Q: Is the way that the Trump administration... has the way any of that has unfolded been unusual?
It's unusual due to Trump's unpredictable involvement, including publicly opining on deals and having financial stakes in both companies.
Trump’s starring role in the Warner Bros fight
Q: How exactly has the Trump administration gotten involved with this battle for Warner Brothers?
The Trump administration's involvement stems from Trump's obsession with media, his personal investments in both Netflix and Warner Brothers, and the influence he exerts on the administration's regulatory approach to these mergers.
