  • The Exercise Coach Works!

I'm a 69-year old woman. I've been inconsistent with exercise my whole life. I started working out at The Exercise Coach about 18 months ago and I love it! I was weak and breathless when I started and over the months, my strength has improved and my recovery time has shortened. I am stronger, so I'm sticking with it!

  • Not that good

Host spends like 15 seconds just straight talking about their credentials every episode, also the episodes and comments within them sound Very scripted.

I am likely biased though, as I do not have a high interest in this area, so I tend to find it a tad dull.

Although, you should listen for yourself and see if you enjoy it. Perhaps, and may I add, hopefully, my opinion is incorrect.

  • Change

Definitely an approach to working out smarter and not harder with better results in less time. Try this for 90 days to give it a true test and it will debunk your old ways of thinking about fitness. Love everything about the exercise coach. Keep up the great work.

  • JOKE!!

This guy is an absolute joke! This is a money grab that preys on unsuspecting middle age and elderly people. This is NOT a useful fitness program for anyone. Pricing is a joke, promises and results are completely empty and completely ridiculous!!

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Why Strength Training is Better Than Pilates for Your Muscles and Your Health
Q: Today's question is, how does the Exercise Coach compare to Pilates?
Dr. Fisher explains that while Pilates is a valuable method focusing on posture and control, the Exercise Coach provides greater mechanical loading, muscle mass, and bone density improvements, and can be adapted to all fitness levels from beginner to NFL athletes.
The Science-Based Pros and Cons of Working Out With a Partner
Q: Is working out with a partner a help or a hindrance?
It can be both: beneficial for beginners as a way to start the journey with emotional support, and potentially advantageous for seasoned participants to share the experience; however, there is a risk of increased injury if supervision and form are neglected amid competition.
How to Stay Consistent With Exercise: Why the First 6 Months Are Fragile
Q: How should someone view plateaus in months three to six?
Recognize plateaus as a natural bridge that allows neurological adaptations to give way to morphological changes, reframing effort as something to be embraced rather than avoided, and staying the course to set up bigger gains after six months.
How to Stay Consistent With Exercise: Why the First 6 Months Are Fragile
Q: What are the most important things someone in their first month should focus on to avoid giving up?
Show up consistently, anticipate barriers, and practice persistence by prioritizing the gym over short-term temptations like social dinners, understanding that the first months are about forming a stable routine.
Resistance Training Reverses Aging: Sleep
Q: What are the signs that someone may not be getting enough sleep, and how does poor sleep impact daily life?
Signs include daytime fatigue, irritability, and difficulty concentrating; poor sleep can weaken immunity and hinder recovery from exercise, creating a negative spiral.
