If you’re fascinated by the sorts of bizarre news stories that sometimes get overshadowed by all of the other hullaballoo, this is the podcast for you. I like the hosts, they’re very thoughtful and well-spoken. It’s not really political or culture war-centric, which is a refreshing break from the scores of podcasts which are. Just weird crime with lots of unpredictable twists and turns, plain and simple. What’s not to love?

Strangely focuses on odd, often bizarre real-world stories that sit at the intersection of true crime, folklore, and offbeat journalism. Across episodes, the hosts chase strange headlines from both sides of the Atlantic, blending sharp analysis with humor and curiosity. Popular segments balance deep dives into unusual cases with lighter Amuse Bouche moments, touching on ethics, misinformation, and the social dynamics of online communities. The show's appeal lies in its transatlantic perspective, approachable banter, and willingness to explore the gray areas where fact, rumor, and culture collide, making it a good fit for listeners who want intriguing, conversation-worthy stories that aren't afraid to get quirky or thought-provoking.
