I heard some of the best insights aobut Stoicism in these podcast episodes. Sometimes Caleb’s slow cadence makes it harder to follow his train of thought (especially when you’re listening to this while commuting), and Michael’s awkward sing-offs make you think these guys are amateurs. Maybe they are, but the content is worth sticking around for. There is at least one golden nugget of insight in nearly every episode. Some are loaded with them. If you’re interested in Stoicism, give these guys a c... more
Indispensable; the best audio form content for this philosophy that I’ve yet come across.
The thematic episodes are insightful, structured convos between the hosts, both of whom wield their advanced philosophy degrees gently here, like slicing garlic with a battle axe. The Discourses episode should be required listening for anyone new to the philosophy, I’ll definitely be recommending that widely. The interview episodes have been excellent with the hosts asking truly interesting questions tha... more
It is clear the hosts are well prepared and have a reasoned and thoughtful approach to each episode. This is stoicism presented on an intellectual level where many similar podcasts lean too much into the emotional masculinity appeal. A great podcast!
I’m New here I hope you keep these episodes coming
Caleb and Michael are very good at conveying Stoic ideas in a very low-key, equanimous fashion. I really appreciate this approach, which differs much from other mainstream stoic channels, more concerned with motivational aspects rather than being focused on getting into the nitty-gritty of the philosophy—which is really the only way to go if we're seeking profound and durable progress towards attaining Wisdom.
