Thank you so much for your good work.
My experience with this podcast was a mind numbing mental yoga session focused on the academic and theoretical aspects of stoic philosophy. Also seems to spend an unnecessary amount of time criticizing what he calls modern popularizers of stoicism. Having practiced stoicism for more than 10 years at this point, this podcast was quite effective at helping me lose sight of what I love about this way of life.
This is yet another politically bias philosophical podcast. The entire point of stoicism is transcending politics and alleviating the need to engage in political mud-slinging. And yet that is exactly what this podcaster does. It completely detracts from the message of stoicism. I had hoped to find a podcast that actually avoided politics altogether and unfortunately this is not it. Yet another podcaster who does not practice what he preaches.
Great content and LOTS of respect for TC for going to the effort and expense to buy his IP back and make it available without being stuffed with ads! To be clear, I’m fine w some ads for players casts bc I’m not gonna pay a premium for everything I try or listen to but the corporate overlords had apparently been responsible for the absurd ad content. The decision to go it alone is commendable. And for that move alone I’m sending $$ your way.
Looking forward to what this latest iteration of the show brings. Off to a great start. Thanks for the thoughtful and thought provoking material.
