  • So many great things here!

My favorite part about this podcast is getting to listen in to real coaching conversations. This an an invaluable experience. But Steve also shares so much wisdom, and he lets us in on his thought processes. Many of his episodes are also geared to classroom teachers, not just coaches, which makes it easy to share his insights with teachers. I’m just sorry I only recently discovered this podcast!

Wandering and Wondering for All Learners
Q: What is the role of teachers in fostering curiosity among students?
Teachers should model authentic questioning, facilitate a range of questions from students, provide dedicated time for inquiry, and ensure that every student engages in questioning, not just the most vocal ones.
Real Objects, Curiosity, and Inquiry
Q: Could you describe the connection between inquiry and curiosity?
Inquiry provides rigorous, purposeful thinking opportunities for students and is energized by curiosity, which motivates learners to seek out patterns, ask questions, and connect ideas.
