  • Used to be better

He’s angrier now that he’s more successful which is a bummer. He’s smart and has done a lot, I’m sure he’s under a lot of pressure. It would be better for him if he could rise above that and be ok with criticism.

  • Very abstract

Very abstract. Real world examples and case studies would be helpful. A lot of jargon also. Plain English would be good.

Talking Points

B2B SEO: The #1 Reason Brands Actually Get Recommended in AI Search — with Gaetano DiNardi
Q: How long does it take to build entity association for a category, and what does that involve?
Development time varies by starting position: 12–24 months for a category king or challenger, and years for a brand-new category with no digital footprint. The process requires choosing a narrow, achievable lane, aligning product pages to market language, and building category-level associations and credible third-party signals rather than chasing broad, top-of-funnel content.
B2B SEO: The #1 Reason Brands Actually Get Recommended in AI Search — with Gaetano DiNardi
Q: Who should sink time and investment into prioritizing SEO versus other channels?
Gaetano suggests that companies with a well-defined category footprint, a clear digital footprint, and strong bottom-funnel content should invest in SEO, while very early-stage companies may be better off pursuing founder-led marketing and building credibility via targeted category pages, reviews, and a lane within a narrow wedge.
Marketing Creates the Demand. But What Actually Builds the Revenue Engine? — with Aviv Canaani of Datarails
Q: What role does RevOps play in aligning marketing with sales, and how do you measure success?
RevOps ties the funnel end-to-end, automates processes, and creates a clear optimization loop; success is measured by revenue impact and efficiency rather than attribution minutiae, with a 1% improvement in any funnel area producing meaningful gains.
Marketing Creates the Demand. But What Actually Builds the Revenue Engine? — with Aviv Canaani of Datarails
Q: How did you approach the transition from outbound-dominated marketing to a strong inbound engine at Datarails?
He describes testing a diverse mix of channels, compelling creative, and the strategic use of agencies to jumpstart in-house capabilities, while maintaining performance-driven goals and a focus on brand for long-term growth.
Marketing Creates the Demand. But What Actually Builds the Revenue Engine? — with Aviv Canaani of Datarails
Q: Can you walk us through your early career and what led you to lead marketing at a startup?
Aviv explains starting in PR and politics, pursuing an MBA, and moving through IBM and other tech roles before leading marketing at Workiz and Natural Intelligence, ultimately joining Datarails to build their marketing and now their entire revenue engine.
