  • Great guests, thoughtful questions

I love that Dave asks questions we are all wondering, and then lets the guest fully answer. Fascinating stuff!

  • Do not have Danielle host again

After listening to this podcast for the first time, I’m not quite sure I will come back. I listened to the email nurture/roast episode that Danielle hosted. Someone needs have her listen to that episode and focus to how she speaks and her limited, juvenile vocabulary and voice. I felt like I was listening to a 14-year-old Valley girl which made me question the validity and credibility of what was said and presented, with the exception of the guests who were clearly subject matter experts. • Does not add value

He gets good guests, but he’s still learning the absolute basics. Makes you wonder how he’s qualified to be a CMO. Seems like the CEOs he’s worked for do all the work, a la Drift, and he spends his time babbling about being great at “brand.” It’s baffling how many people listen to this.

Build a Better B2B Growth Engine with Uzair Dada from Iron Horse
Q: What is the core governance challenge enterprises face when adopting AI at scale?
The biggest bottleneck is governance itself—establishing policies, security, data privacy, and deployment processes so AI-powered workflows don't create uncontrolled sprawl. IT and security must be involved early, and there needs to be a centralized way to manage models, access, and versioning across a growing organization.
Build a Better B2B Growth Engine with Uzair Dada from Iron Horse
Q: Based on that example, how would you tell in practical terms to B2B marketing teams what matters in the current AI-driven landscape?
Start by clearly identifying your customer and their questions, then map a simple, three-part framework: get discovered, get chosen, and close. Focus on reducing audience waste, leveraging first-party data, and ensuring governance so AI tools are used consistently and responsibly. Build a shared voice and a device-agnostic approach that scales from chaos to a repeatable playbook.
How CMOs Are Deploying AI Across Marketing
Q: What does this mean for the future of marketing leadership with AI adoption?
AI will retool marketers' capabilities, enabling faster execution, better personalization, and a more strategic balance between creativity and analytics; leaders must drive governance and enable teams rather than replace them.
Inside Ramp's Marketing: Creative Bets, Measurement, and AI Agents (with Drew Pinta)
Q: What does channel maturity look like in Ramp's framework?
Ramp evaluates channels through a staged funnel: starting with fundamentals like solid optimization events and baseline reporting, then moving to in-platform tests, and finally to true incrementality tests; only after passing these gates does a channel graduate to core status and be scaled.
Inside Ramp's Marketing: Creative Bets, Measurement, and AI Agents (with Drew Pinta)
Q: Can you tell me about that park stunt and what it revealed about attribution?
The park stunt involving filing paper expenses with a glass box in New York was a large-scale test of real-world awareness; they used an event study approach to measure attention and then cross-checked with transcripts and subsequent sales signals to understand what actually moved the needle, underscoring that dramatic creative can still be a valuable signal when evaluated with the right, multi-faceted measurement.
