Sister in law told me about it while we were celebrating Christmas. Enjoyed it so much I listened to the whole thing before I saw her again today on Christmas Eve 😂
I wanted to like this podcast, and I could listen to Rhea Seehorn act all day long, but it was just too tedious for me.
The writer of StanLand has a wild imagination. This audio series took me on an unexpected journey that was both confusing and hysterical. Prepare yourself for a mythical universe colliding with the modern world. Each episode feels like a ride through a different dimension. For fans of genre mashups, satire, and creativity, it’s definitely worth a listen.
Brilliantly funny! A greatly engrossing and hilarious listen for normally distracted podcast dilettantes with short attention spans.
StanLand is wildly inventive, sharply funny, and a total escape into a magical world that still feels all too real. Can’t wait for more!

A satirical fantasy audio series that blends a whimsical realm with sharp, modern critique, delivered through character-driven interviews, world-building lore, and running gags about consumer culture. Episodes mix outlandish political theatre, satire of governance, and meta-commentary on fame, capitalism, and media, all threaded through a quirky cast and a propulsive, absurd plot. The show stands out for its imaginative world, strong writing, and high production quality, with guest appearances and cross-show callbacks that keep the universe feeling expansive and playful.
