Living in the US, this gives me a great reminder of home. It is funny, ridiculous, and yet paints a picture of Canada in the 80's, where I grew up.
Funny and Canadian, but convoluted to the extremes. Why does the French guy always get blamed, literally without any evidence, yet everytime he's found innocent, the cycle continues.
What's worse, every person who did the crime is let go with nary a slap on the wrist, but he's always going to jail. Not a fan of the French, but this takes logic and buries it where it can't be found.
A charming little show, clearly made by people who love their craft. I just wish the intrigue was a little bit more complicated, 15-minute episodes leave me wanting a bit more depth.
Just binged the season while painting our house. So many CDN quirks and laughs.
It's charming and kinda funny, I just wish there was a little more actual story. I get shows have to run ads, but if your episodes are only ~15min, you can't run 4 ads and a 2min outro. That this point it's more everything else than story.
