Ms Sehgal’s opinion on how being too attached to the company you’ve invested in should be resisted. She resonated this by saying that if you’re too attached to the companies, you won’t be able to give detached advice when asked for it. Every investor needs to hear this!
How amusing it is to see the parameters of traditional marketing losing their potency! However, so well stated here by Anil in Episode 8 of Season 3, correctness of content, abstaining from violating ethics, focus on company/ brand’s self-credibility will ensure in escaping decay once the eye-ball catching dramatic digital conversation is over. New age companies always need to remember this.
Celebrity endorsing brands must sit back and listen to this interview in Ep 8 of S3. A celebrity may or may not ensure success but telling compelling stories, building meaningful relationships is a sure ingredient for brand’s positioning. I would like to hear the next interview on the necessary ingredients for brand building for startups.
“Death is no more the leveller; coffee is!” my interpretation of a very interesting observation by Dheeraj. Loved this concept of an office on a coffee café theme. Indeed the roasted and brewed coffee aroma calms the stressed and settles inner zen. A state in which honest and creative conversation flows.. Loved this episode 4 / S3.
Narayan Sundararaman’s episode 5 of Season 3 highlights some important points that need to reach as many marketers as possible. His leadership advice is that the leader must be humble. In addition, Mr Sundararaman stresses that crucial leadership quality is the ability to control one's ego and sense of superiority or the “I know it all” attitude. This advice is definitely required because so many marketers today believe they are at the top of their game when, in reality, they lack modesty.
Good to hear his music/podcasts in our idle time.

Narayan Sundararaman, Head of Marketing for Bajaj Auto Ltd had some fascinating things to say on Speakeasy. He believes that a marketer needs to have a curious mind and that marketers should be able to revisit their assumptions because things today change much faster than they did years back. He also made the critical point that marketers must be persistent and must continue doing something over the long run rather than just temporarily. To achieve the best outcomes, marketers must strike a bala... more
Very motivating and intresting.!
Speakeasy’s episode 9 of Season 3 featured the founder of Digital India Foundation, Arvind Gupta and what an incredible episode it was! The way he explained why crypto is not considered a means of payment in India because of UPI is undeniably an eye-opener. UPI is a low-cost method of transaction and supports a high volume of transactions. Some countries do not have access to methods like UPI and thus, use crypto as a means of payment. This could end many questions and confusion regarding crypto... more
Most investors today want an already established company to invest in whereas Saloni Sehgal believes in “Zero to One” journey, she is ready to grow with the company and help the founders build. A mindset that really needs to be highlighted! What an amazing episode!
Speakeasy’s episode 2 of Season 3 featuring Salone Sehgal, General Partner of Lumikai Fund was undoubtedly one of the best episodes of the season. The best thing about Saloni was the fact that she believed in herself and that she didn’t let the opinions of others stop her from doing what she thought was the best
It’s absolutely amazing how he has explained things in details and it’s a must for all the entrepreneurs and up coming entrepreneurs to listen to this! Highly recommended! 💯⭐️
I listened to Hitesh's episode on the speakeasy. I recommend all the budding start-up founders and aspiring founders out there listen to this inspiring podcast. It is great to hear about his entrepreneurial journey, how he got noticed amongst the biggest investors in the market, and the acquisition of this start-up by Flipkart. Truly inspiring.
Dheeraj's conversation with the co-founder of The Man company is one of my favourites. It was very intriguing to know that men from TEIR II cities are the most loyal customers of The Man Company. Who thought men's grooming could even be a category in the beauty segment. Great to learn about this trendsetting brand in men grooming in India.
