Ms Sehgal’s opinion on how being too attached to the company you’ve invested in should be resisted. She resonated this by saying that if you’re too attached to the companies, you won’t be able to give detached advice when asked for it. Every investor needs to hear this!
How amusing it is to see the parameters of traditional marketing losing their potency! However, so well stated here by Anil in Episode 8 of Season 3, correctness of content, abstaining from violating ethics, focus on company/ brand’s self-credibility will ensure in escaping decay once the eye-ball catching dramatic digital conversation is over. New age companies always need to remember this.
Celebrity endorsing brands must sit back and listen to this interview in Ep 8 of S3. A celebrity may or may not ensure success but telling compelling stories, building meaningful relationships is a sure ingredient for brand’s positioning. I would like to hear the next interview on the necessary ingredients for brand building for startups.
“Death is no more the leveller; coffee is!” my interpretation of a very interesting observation by Dheeraj. Loved this concept of an office on a coffee café theme. Indeed the roasted and brewed coffee aroma calms the stressed and settles inner zen. A state in which honest and creative conversation flows.. Loved this episode 4 / S3.
Narayan Sundararaman’s episode 5 of Season 3 highlights some important points that need to reach as many marketers as possible. His leadership advice is that the leader must be humble. In addition, Mr Sundararaman stresses that crucial leadership quality is the ability to control one's ego and sense of superiority or the “I know it all” attitude. This advice is definitely required because so many marketers today believe they are at the top of their game when, in reality, they lack modesty.
