Kate and Cally are two friends who met in an Early Modern History MA program. Now they have a podcast, where they discuss their love and admiration for the six queens who married Henry VIII. We put the queens back into their own narratives, debunk myths, and explore life for a sixteenth-century English queen.

I love the way the hosts have chosen to present information about the queens that speaks to each of their entire lives, rather than just talking about each queen in the context of Henry as so many others do. I’m only on episode 3, but I’m hooked!!
I stumbled upon this podcast a few days ago and I have already caught up on every episode so far! I am and avid listener of Tudor podcasts but can be disappointed at ones that just retell history. The hosts of this podcast have amazing conversations and dive deeper into the analysis of the time, and I love how they have grouped the wives together according to theme. I haven’t really heard it done quite this way yet. I am eagerly awaiting new content! Thanks ladies! I wish I had a Tudor obses... more
I admittedly did not know much about the Tudor dynasty, but I am finding this podcast enthralling. The hosts are clearly knowledgeable and passionate about the topic, and they draw the listener right in! Six Queens introduces us to each of these women as individuals, beyond just the role of “wife of Henry VIII” with lots of interesting details and connections to current times. I can’t wait for the next season!
