Welcome to ShiftLess, the bicycle podcast where curiosity meets total confusion. Hosted by Brad and Kevin, we are a couple of "chuckleheads" easily distracted by new bike tech and adventure cycling gear. We ask the big questions (and the totally irrelevant ones) so you don’t have to. While we lean heavily into gravel cycling, bikepacking, and mountain bike adventures, we cover anything that rolls.... more

I just starting listening to this podcast and I love it. It’s a very casual chat about life and bikes, and feels almost like hanging out with friends. The guys are very relatable and interesting. This is my new favorite cycling-related podcast.
Although these guys know a lot about bikes and can be entertaining I have to give them a lower rating than I would like. The reason? They give zero introduction or context to anything they are talking about. I listened to probably 20 minutes of them talking about their regional weather and I still have no clue about where they are based (state, city etc.). I wish they would just take 30 seconds and introduce themselves, tell us why we should care about what they have to say and then a little tea... more
I recently started listening to a few bike related podcasts and this one is by far my favorite. The dudes are funny and have good insight and knowledge into bikes/bikepacking related topics. The sound quality is good also which is a plus.
What a great listen! Decades of information about bikes and the industry world wide. Fun conversations and great stories on a vast array of topics

Listeners lean into gravel, bikepacking, and mountain biking, with a focus on endurance routes, testing gear, and real-world field notes. Episodes mix technical cycling talk—wheel sizes, gear setups, race strategies—with travel stories, scouting trips, and community-building at shops and events. A standout angle is the casual, humor-forward banter between hosts as they explore evolving tech (notably 32-inch wheels) and practical logistics for long-distance rides, making this a good fit for curious riders who enjoy hands-on testing and industry color, often featuring guests who bring hands-on expertise from racing, retail, or media. The show's informal vibe and willingness to tackle both hype and practical constraints make it approachable fo... more
