五一假期的末尾，我留在上海，见到了消失已久的旧友 L。

有些恐惧则藏在我们的性格里——我们以为自己很勇敢，甚至天不怕地不怕，但后来才慢慢发现，那可能并不是勇敢，而是一种对危险的迟钝，甚至是一点点想要逃离世界的冲动。
还有一些恐惧，更真实也更具体：害怕失去家人，害怕冲突，害怕关系里的恶意，害怕那些我们不得不面对，却一直想绕开的事情。

10年前的那次失去工作，像翻身打来的浪一样浇在10年后的我，我时常思考我是不是又进入一轮需要让自己蜕皮的时间段里，是不是蜕不了皮，我就无法成精，无法拥有与凡人一样世俗的快乐。
我只是对目前的一切感到怀疑，怀疑是否有真实和虚假之分，怀疑人们说着渴求真善美，但讲出来的还是写虚假的词汇，怀疑我的某种少年心气，是不是不合时宜，与这个有点衰败之气的当下不太匹配……当人类开始怀疑一切的时候，可能她的中年危机也就来临了。
