I myself am not in the adoptee/adoption world — I tuned in because I happen to know Mike and was interested in his podcast. After one episode, I went back and listened to all of them and have listened to each new one since. Great conversations, and it’s been an education for me about the world of adoptees, their many varied experiences and emotions.
This is wonderful, Mike has a great way of teasing out details from his guests, encouraging them to share their unique experiences; while also highlighting the commonalities of our shared adoptee experience. A great listen, every time.
What a find this is! As a 72 year old adoptee in reunion for 20 years, I am still riveted by my story and all the others I hear. My library has just become more complete and interesting! Looking forward to many more fascinating interviews! Thank you. You have the perfect broadcast voice and delivery btw!
As we know, “they only make us sick.” Secret Son’s host, Mike Trupiano, does an excellent job shining light on that which needs to be talked about. His inquisitive interview style lends to unearthing and being curious about the situations we’ve been conditioned to bury and hide.
Just listening to his voice is a plus…..this is a great addition to the adoptee support diaspora (not sure I Have ever used that word in a sentence before.)
