If you’re going to listen: Expect liberal-moderate misinfo from Sandeep, populist progressive-ish disinfo from Erica, and reporting with a modicum of moderation from David
I thought Erica’s sniping at Sandeep for using the term “gender critical” was very intolerant. Are we not to question the sanity of people who literally feel they were “born in the wrong body”. She can get away with calling people like me “TERF” yet I do not aim to deny trans people the right to exist nor am I a “radical feminist “. There actually is nuance to this situation and there should be dialogue not name calling. And by the way I am a liberal Democrat.
There aren’t many Seattle news / politics podcasts available, but this podcast is becoming increasingly frustrating and stressful to listen to. Sandeep is consistently patronizing to Erica and that hurts this podcast significantly. Erica holds her ground well, but no one wants to listen to a podcast where one commentator offers analysis that is thoughtful and knowledgeable - and the other consistently ignores, attacks, or attempts to manipulate the other commentator. It’s wonderful to hear from ... more

A sharp, opinionated take on local governance and urban policy, with hosts who trade data-driven insights and pointed commentary on Seattle's politics. Episodes routinely orbit housing affordability, homelessness strategies, public safety, transportation, and city leadership, often contrasting progressive and center-right viewpoints with behind-the-scenes dynamics in City Hall and County government. The show stands out for its frank banter, grounded analysis, and willingness to challenge both politicians and pundits, making it valuable for listeners who want an assertive, no-nonsense read on Seattle's political landscape.
Noteworthy is the willingness to dissect policy trade-offs (tax policy vs. economic recovery, shelter-first vs. housing... more
