If you are into ultrarunning, listening to many of these podcasts, despite even its age is really useful. Lots of great content, I prefer the subject episodes versus the personal interviews.
Someone who has picked up this is evoke podcast. Might want to try that as well.
Based on two episodes, I'm out. In intensity distribution, he claims that hard work is not hard because it requires rest by definition, and confuses correlation with causation. In salt episode, they argue that if you aren't clinically diagnosed with a deficiency, that all is well, but we are here to move past basic survival and into proactive optimization
Great resource for a variety of topics regarding ultra training and exercise physiology. Athlete spotlights provide a variety of athlete perspectives for runners of all abilities and experience levels.
If you run ultras or think you might want to try it one day, listen to this podcast. I only found it years after it ended but the guidance, coaches corners, interviews etc… are all relevant, useful and helpful. Thanks Shawn
Shawn is consistent with great topics, subject matter experts, and making the discussion understandable to to listeners. Other podcasts try and provide substance like this, but inevitably end up with anecdotal or everyone is different conclusions. Not Shawn, he’s amazing.
