  • Mostly Solid

The podcast is usually a solid listen, but unfortunately you have to listen to Corrine’s woke opinions. It gets old and annoying to her social agenda when you are trying to appreciate high level athletes performing their craft.

  • D-BOWWWW

Confused how Dylan Bowman didn’t win ultra runner of the year last year?? We will see if he can take it at Hardrock!! In all seriousness, he does a great job with interview, previews, and keeping tabs on business side / hype of the sport. Every podcast he does is interesting. My only gripe is that he sometimes tries to keep the interview on the tracks or wrap it up and can sometimes come across like he is cutting the person off. It’s not bad or anything, I just sometimes feel like he forces the ... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Vincent Bouillard | Western States 100 Champion's Interview
Q: Why did you decide to go solo without a pacer, and how did that affect your race?
He chose to remove pacing complexity to focus on internal gauges and flow, believing the logistics and personal connection would be better served without a pacer, and he trusted his crew and two-car setup to support the effort.
Vincent Bouillard | Western States 100 Champion's Interview
Q: Did you feel intuition early in the race that it could be a special day?
Bouillard explains that while he felt in very good shape, ultrarunning is unpredictable and the early miles were about finding his rhythm and staying within his zone, with confidence built through preparation rather than guaranteed outcomes.
Jenn Lichter | Western States 100 Champion's Interview
Q: Walk us through the first 50k and how you managed pace and positioning.
Jenn describes sticking to a steady, controlled strategy, staying calm as front-pack moves unfolded, and using the early miles to gauge energy without over-committing. She kept Abby Hall and others in view, avoided ego-driven moves, and planned to respond only when the time felt right.
Jeff Mogavero | 2026 Western States Pre-Race Interview
Q: How do you balance planning with real-time adaptation on race day?
My plan is to stay adaptable; I don't rely on fixed splits and I avoid racing against my own expectations. I listen to my body and react to what the day gives me, using preparation to stay vigilant without boxing myself in.
Jeff Mogavero | 2026 Western States Pre-Race Interview
Q: Say a few words about the period six to eight weeks out and what changed.
Six to eight weeks out, I shifted from feeling scattered to hyperfocused in a more sustainable way, which allowed me to reframe training as a joyful pursuit rather than a grind and to stress less about external outcomes.
