I have been listening to this podcast for years, but it feels like SBS are using their second and third rate journalists for this now. Some can barely read a transcript, some have interviewing skills of a primary school student.

It’s no longer enjoyable. Just frustrating

Same liberal controlled media as America. Was looking for less drama and reporting on crap, not here. Don’t waist your time.

World Cup: Mexico through; Mbappé record; Haaland shines
Q: Can you describe the impact of football on Latin American communities in Australia?
Michelle explains that football is deeply embedded in everyday life across Latin America and translates into community building and identity in Australia, with grassroots beginnings, strong family ties, and pride in hosting and cultural exchange.
Record car sales as ASX rallies
Q: Tony, Australia has recorded its strongest month ever for new vehicle sales. What's driving it?
The host sets up the question by noting the record June, and Tony explains that intense competition, coupled with consumer offers and a two-speed economy, is driving the surge in vehicle sales even amid cost-of-living pressures. He also highlights a shift toward EVs as a structural development in the market.
Venezuela twin quake catastrophe, not-so-Strait shooting hinders US-Iran deal & Cuba opens up
Q: Sajatha, how significant are these Cuban reforms in the long term for Cuban sovereignty and social equality?
The reforms are transformative, shifting away from a tightly controlled state-led model toward greater private sector participation, but concerns remain about sovereignty, inequality, and whether the changes will deliver tangible relief soon.
Venezuela twin quake catastrophe, not-so-Strait shooting hinders US-Iran deal & Cuba opens up
Q: Catalina, given what you've described about the local response, how do the people feel about their government's reaction to the earthquake?
People feel scared to speak out due to repression, but they express frustration at the lack of visible government presence and reliance on community aid and international teams for lifesaving efforts.
Inflation cools but rate rise risks remain
Q: David, inflation has eased on the headline rate, but the underlying rate rose. Is this a good or a bad result?
The distinction shows that while consumer prices cooled overall, core measures like the Trim Mean remain sticky, suggesting continued pressure on inflation and a higher likelihood that the RBA may still need to lift rates if the trend doesn't improve.
