    Love rn hate the clog

This is insane. I want to listen to RN. But it is impossible to download this into my feed, because every day I am inundated with 7 to 10 stories, and I spend about 15 mins every week just clearing my list. Give me one episode once a day. This is bs

  • I hope it gets better

Three years of PK inserting herself and her opinions into the stories has been very tedious. For example She has been hysterical about cuts to over-servicing psychology sessions, wasted airtime with her unbridled adulation of Taylor Swift and failed to acknowledge the obvious that trump was going to win the election. Fran Kelly was very fair. I hope the Sally Sara chapter brings better balance to RN Breakfast .

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Changing Australia: Bronwyn King and fighting for clean air and a tobacco free world
Q: Bronwyn, what did you find out about the extent of investment in tobacco in those early days when you're trying to figure out how the system worked?
She explains it wasn't just her fund but the entire system—pension funds, insurers, banks—worldwide, normalizing tobacco investments until persistent advocacy gradually changed policies, starting with Australia and expanding globally.
Changing Australia: Bronwyn King and fighting for clean air and a tobacco free world
Q: Tell me about these early days for you.
Bronwyn describes the early, challenging process of realizing her superannuation funds funded tobacco and the difficulty of being taken seriously by financial institutions, which ultimately catalyzed her mission to push for tobacco-free investment practices.
Joe Hockey says US tariffs on Australia will 'for sure' go up
Q: Do you think these tariffs will get up?
The guest suggests that while there is pressure to raise revenue, the policy is risky and likely to be met with domestic and international pushback; yet there is an implied expectation that the US is pursuing a course of action to recoup fiscal pressures, with consequences for consumers and trade relationships.
Joe Hockey says US tariffs on Australia will 'for sure' go up
Q: What do you think of these new proposed tariffs from the US?
The guest argues that tariffs are being pursued despite their inflationary impact and the negative effect on American consumers, reflecting a fundamental misalignment with traditional free-trade thinking and the long-run interests of global economic growth.
Two killed in Kenya protests over US Ebola centre
Q: Why is the US proposing a location in Kenya specifically?
The US argues proximity and established health relationships in the region, stressing readiness and rapid response capabilities, while insisting that Ebola cases would not be allowed into the US.
