The reporting is just becoming so weak and lacking context and depth. The ABC no longer undertake a subjective review with reporting focused on facts and providing the non-baised in depth reporting which our country and tax money deserves. The focus on the Middle East lacks this clearly, with attention to detail and context lacking.

US-Iran possible ceasefire extension
Q: What are the terms of the tentative US-Iran ceasefire extension?
The terms include a 60-day extension of the ceasefire, reopening the Strait of Hormuz with unrestricted access, a potential lifting of the US naval blockade, Iran pledging not to pursue a nuclear weapon, and talks on sanctions relief and frozen Iranian funds, pending presidential sign-off.
Electricity prices set to drop
Q: Can you take me through why prices are falling under the default market offer?
Minister Bowen explains the fall is driven by higher renewables penetration, which reduces costs, plus storage batteries that flatten peak demand at night, and reforms to the default market offer that limit unnecessary costs, together producing a meaningful price reduction.

Q: Why link income tax brackets to inflation in two stages?
To move quickly on the majority of taxpayers while gradually adjusting higher brackets, balancing immediate relief with long-term budget considerations.
